Charleston House follies
This painting by Ken Laidlaw is now up for auction at Charleston House, home of the Bloomsbury Group collection.
The painting is titled 'Back Three Spaces' and is on a Quijotian theme, where the figure in the foreground (a self portrait) gazes longingly along the path of the board game towards his idealized lover.
Could the next roll of the dice bring them together on the same square?
All proceeds from the auction go towards preserving the collection and bids start at just £40.
There are pieces by Maggi Hambling and Peter Blake and many other prestigious artists, so you could pick up a bargain.
